  • In order to make your online therapy experience most effective please consider a few things first.

Internet speed: It’s important for you to have a strong internet connection. If you can stream movies and games then it should be strong enough online therapy.

Privacy: During online therapy it is your responsibility to find a private place where others do not overhear you or where you are distracted. The convince of online therapy is that you do it from anywhere. If you choose to do therapy from your place of work and you are using your work phone or computer for your session please keep in mind that your employer may have access to your private information.

  • The first session is $175 for a 50-minute long Intake. This is a comprehensive assessment where we review the presenting problem, concerns, and what you would like to gain from treatment.

My regularly scheduled sessions are $160 for 50 minutes. I collect fees at the beginning of each session.

  • Using your insurance can limit the access of care to meet your individual needs. Insurances requires me to provide a mental health diagnosis that becomes part of your permanent medical record. They can have access to your files (including notes, treatment plans, etc.) and can determine your progress in treatment and if they are willing to pay for additional sessions. High quality care that focuses on healing, not just bandaging your symptoms, is most effective when it's not limited to a number of sessions, and length of time dictated by the insurance provider does not know your individual needs. When you do not use your insurance, you have the choice to terminate services when YOU feel ready, not when your insurance says so.
